When people call vocaloid songs "project sekai songs" as if they wouldn't have existed if proseka never existed that's so annoying, I'm sorry- Also I'm so annoyed when people call Meika Hime and Mikoto agender or non-binary, like bro no, they're just genderless, they canonically have no gender. Like of course people who are agender or nonbinary are valid but Meika and Mikoto aren't, they're just canonically genderless 😭

Nah yk what annoys me? I can't stand when utau banks just randomly lose some of their sound files, BECAUSE YUP, THAT CAN HAPPEN. IT HAS. IT DOES. I'VE HAD TO DEAL WITH IT. RIP ONE OF MY HARUKA NANA BANKS. also I'm not ashamed to admit I have indeed pirated a miku bank. There's an UTAU port of her that I've found that is actually a really good quality imo.

I’m gonna list some things I hate too 1. Some pjsekai fans tend to spread a lot of misinformation and not even try to inform themselves, like claiming Miku is from the game and that songs like Remote control is from the game. 2. THE WHOLE RABBIT HOLE SITUATION. NEED I SAY MORE?? 3. Not 100% sure if this has happened but I’ve heard it mentioned, new fans sending death threats to creators for making dark songs. 4. How hateful the fandom has become, maybe I was just too young to notice before but I feel like ever since late 2020-now everyone has become so toxic. It’s like all the bad things we heard about for example the genshin and dmsp fandom is getting fkn bluetoothed over to us. 5. The ship culture, people will kill you for liking “the wrong one” and use the p*do card on anything related to Miku cause “she’s 16”. 6. The slow disappearance of the crazy Len stans, watching their madness was fkn hilarious. I mean it’s probably a good thing but people are getting serious now and I never see the absolute abominations people created before. 7. THE WAY PJSEKAI ABSOLUTELY BUTCHERED EVERY VOICEBANK IN THEIR COVERS I HATE IT SO MUCH I QUIT THE GAME. IT GIVES PEOPLE HORRIBLE IMPRESSIONS OF THEM. 8. The fkn elitism seen in pjsk with the people playing the Japanese version acting like they rule the world, being super rude and gatekeeping towards other players. 9. People going crazy about songs with sensitive topics like it doesn’t exist in every other genre and it’s not the creators responsibility to please you. Thanks for listening to my rant💀

Ok about the age thing, first of all, finally someone who also thinks of Gumi as an adult, I always thought she was around 18-20 years old, but also I just wanted to bring up the fact that i've been seeing people age down Yuzuki Yukari to 17 or 16 or even 13, and I couldn't help but think that it's because people in the vocaloid community could not grasp the concept of someone who's 18+ years old being cutesy and not looking like a fully matured adult. But also similar to the Kaito being 13 (there's no way he's any younger than 20 imo) someone deadass thought Yukari was 10, I get that it was apparently before her age got confirmed, but 10?!?!

Something i hate about vocaloid community is people forcing canon and headcanon. Like please, vocaloid and utau character supposed to be a blank slate that the producer can work around. You want miku to get married? Thats okay, you want len to work as a police? Thats okay too, you want kaai yuki to be a highschooler? No problem. The canon only exist since people like establish character and everyone can either accept it or ignore it.

When the whole point of vocaloid is the fact they can be everything you want to make songs but people will still try to force a canon bc i guess freedom of expression is that cringe

Honestly, rinku fans are kind of annoying. I don't dislike the ship but I prefer lenku, and see content about it. And there's ALWAYS a rinku shipper saying "rinku better" or "miku is a lesbian" or just straight hate. If you dont like the ship, scroll. We don't need to hear ur opinion

As bad as they are. I see why many assets for mmd have been locked behind passwords. Not too long ago; maybe since 2024, A couple of obsecure low quality apps have been stealing tons of MMD assets ranging from Motions, To models, to other People's videos for ads; Even if there's a watermark on the original video. It's not just assets from deviantart or youtube, these small apps even stole from Nico Nico douga and Bowlroll with most of the assets they had stolen and put into their games having no password on their download page or zip file. 2 examples I can think of is 'Sweet dance' and 'Idol Party' if you'd like to look into it.

I'm an older Vocaloid fan who entered the fandom around 2009/2010, but I've started calling most characters "Voice Synths", "Virtual Idols" or "Virtual Singers". There's so many new synths these days, and many characters are switching programs, so I thought that would be easier. But when I called Miku a Virtual Singer an older fan started bashing me, saying I sounded like an "uneducated Sekai fan". If you wanna continue calling them Vocaloids that's fine, but why do people gotta be so triggered when you're just using another correct term? Even Crypton calls them Virtual Singers now.

I don't like how people are defending proships by saying "they have no canon age" when the shipper is obviously making one of the characters look like a child and the other an adult.

As a KAITO fan, I really dislike a lot of the new pjsekai KAITO fans. They cannot see a single mention of him without saying something sexual and KAITOcest has become super popular too.

I find it really annoying when people force things to be either all fun or all serious with no middle ground just because of HCs. Like you said I don't like it when people try to order others around saying what they can or can't do to have fun, I find those old mmd videos entertaining still, I think it's super fun to see people not take the characters seriously at all times and let lose and make silly jokes But I also think it's equally annoying when you want to take a character more seriously and people INSIST that "Ohh no!! That character's too silly you can't do that! They are too dumb to be serious!" This is specially with characters like Gakupo or Kaito where the fandom has headcanoned them to DEATH that they are silly or stupid which is fine but it becomes tiring to deal with when people act like that's canon and you can't make serious works with them.

Ok so I'm gonna give my opinions about your opinions because I feel like it. Note: I'm in Vocaloid fandom since 2020 - not that long, but also before Project Sekai era. I remember feeling so lonely and sad because the fandom was kinda dead and I mostly consumed old content. But now it's suddenly revived and... wow. 1. People who correct you on everything - well, it depends, because there are people who genuinely don't know Kagamines aren't twins or that Teto isn't a Vocaloid, so I think it's actually a good thing to correct them, as long as you do this in a respectful way, not "KAGAMINES ARENT TWINS YOU IDIOT I SWEAR THESE STUPID PJSK FANS 💀" way. But there's no need to be so harsh about it. Actually I used to correct everyone "ERM ACTUALLY IT'S CAMUI GACKPO, NOT KAMUI GAKUPO" even though both spellings are technically correct and now I feel so stupid about it lmao 2. People who force things to be canon - I agree, Vocaloid is all about nothing being canon and gaving your own interpretation about things. I'm so sick of people saying "well Kagamines look like each other and have the same last name so they're basically twins canonically" and jumping on people who ship them because "THEYRE TWINS!!!11". Like, everyone can have their own interpretation of their relationship, chill dude 3. No old people - I think the age headcanons may be due to the fact that there are mamy children in the fandom and they make Vocaloids' ages to be relatable to them. But I agree, and I also always saw Gumi as a grown ass woman, no idea why so many people think she's 15 4. Silly ahh download passwords - I don't use MMD so I can't relate, but holy crap it sounds ridiculous 😭 5. Fun haters - yeah I agree, it seems like there's this toxic type of Vocaloid fans who will just correct you on everything and don't let you have fun " Ermm actually it doesn't make sense for Neru to be in Mesmerizer-" It's just a silly headcanon created from a joke, let people have fun with it! What are you so angry for? I also kinda miss the old Vocaloid fandom's humor, the atmosphere back then was just... different 6. Piracy - yeah, and I also think there's nothing wrong with pirating voicebanks that are discontinued. They're not coming back anyway, so? 7. Meat riders - I feel like they exist in every community ever and that's annoying, just taking everything the producers give you and not being able to criticize them. As an old person myself, (late 90's bby), I just watch whoever I want to watch and listen to whoever I want too. Delete tiktok, don't interact with people on twitter (unless it's oomfs), don't interact with anyone that is not your fellow nerd. It's not just the vocaloid fandom that's getting like this but MANY others that relate to anything weeb/anime/games/etc. It's just getting worse with the internet being more accessible.

It may sound weird, but whoever hc characters as teens/early teens may be in the similar age bracket mostly, that how it feels for me Because once you grow up, you realize how little you can do with characters being so little in terms of experience and stuff?? Vocaloid fandom is structured around being a newgen. Since the most famous Vocaloids were not the first ones to be released, it means all the "old" fans are just newgens who were exposed to the cringy stereotypical elements years after. Seeing an actual old Vocaloid fan who just picked it up at the start without any prior misconceptions is like seeing a unicorn. The rest are just "I uSeD tO tHiNk MiKu WaS a rEaL pErSoN 🤪" kids.

Fun fact, Teto WAS accepted to become a vocaloid by Yamaha and even had lines recorded but they felt it lost her signature timbre. Cue SynthV absolutely deleting vocaloid
